We had heard this was a good spot to stay and you can see why they flock here in the summer. We drove out to the many lookouts and beach bays and there are some really good day trips from here. A great pub where we had dinner with others we had met along the way. Tony managed a dozen fresh oysters straight out of the beds that are raised in the bay. They are very big business here and at $7 a dozen he was very pleased. But again it was windy and we also had some rain.
Stopped for lunch at an amazing hand built rock fence that went on for miles. No mortar required if they are built properly and the smaller rocks fill the gaps. Must have been hard work shifting along the pile of rocks to get the right size in place. It was called ‘dry walling’ Apparently this is also how they did their flooring in days past.
