Stayed 2 nights at Toompine. Well, beside the Pub. Toompine’s claim to fame is “the pub without a town” This used to be a Cobb and Co staging post. Can’t say the surroundings were that good but free water AND power is certainly a draw card. Not even a sign saying fraternising in the pub is expected either.
There is also a very large dam here and so they keep heaps of goats, a couple of llama’s a few donkeys and very typical nasty – take anyone on -young camel that needs to be shooed well away when they are let out in the morning. He gave the electrician a run for his money, chasing him around and around his ute. Had Tony chuckling from the security of the pub bar.
