Came on here to see a friend I chat to on line. How exciting to meet her. She lives on a station 60+ km out of Mt Magnet. You get the feeling you are really heading out to the wild west but in fact we have gone back onto the Great Northern Highway. This is a very old gold mining town although quite a few of them have closed it seems. Wee drove around the well signposted road to see the lookout and something called The Granites – quite a fascinating area.
From here we had a night out on the road – in the pouring rain before heading into Perth where we are heading to a caravan park in Fremantle for a week.
